CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (Westminster-Canterbury of the Blue Ridge (WCBR), Friday, September 27, 2019, 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM hosted by Tom Iezzi, WCBR resident and Tiffany Effinger, Resident Services Assistant, WCBR.)
I presented “Aphasia, Regaining your language from a stroke” to over 30 people with an avid interest in stroke and aphasia. Many people in the audience knew about stroke and aphasia.
I also provided new information about the research study at the University of Virginia (UVA) about my recorded voice (202 recordings in two years, post-stroke), what I called Voice Memos. The approved IRB study title is called “Applying the Principles of Data Science to the study of Speech & Communication: Post-Stroke Speech & Language Analysis (IRB#2653)”.
Thank you WCBR & UVA!
