CONCORDIA, KS (Sisters of St. Joseph of Concordia, KS, Thursday, July 5, 2018, 10:30 AM to Noon.)
KANSAS (KS) was my twenty-first (#21) new state that day!
I spoke to a large crowd at the Nazareth Motherhouse in Concordia, KS led by Sister Anna Marie Broxterman. There were over 40 people including other Sisters of St. Joseph and people from the community with stroke or people with stroke in their family. I presented “Aphasia, Regaining your language from a stroke.” The crowd had plenty of questions as we ran over into lunch!
Laura, my wife, went to college in Salina, KS at the Marymount College. When Marymount College closed, the Sisters from Marymount College moved to the Sisters of St. Joseph of Concordia, KS at the Motherhouse. Laura attended the presentation and met three Sisters (pictures included) who were Laura’s teachers in 1969-1973! It was a wonderful day!
