DALLAS, TX (AHA/ASA National HQ, Thursday, July 19, 2018, 11:30 PM to 2:00 PM.) I met with two AHA staffers at AHA: Oge Okeke (Health Initiatives Manager) and Angela McCarty (Associate Manager, Peer Review, Office of Science Operations-National Center).
I was recently appointed as an AHA Heart Valve Disease Ambassador (yes, you will have to ask me why!) We had a short meeting regarding both the AHA Heart Valve Disease program plus the Lay Science volunteer program. More training will be provided later this year but it was a great start!
BTW, it was wicked hot in Dallas–check out the photo–111 degrees!
