DENTON, TX (National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association (NSSLHA) and the UNT Aphasia Support Group at the University of North Texas (UNT) Denton, TX, Thursday, July 19, 2018, 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the (new and beautiful) Student University Union Lyceum, UNT.)

TEXAS (TX) was my twenty-third (#23) new state that day!

My host, Stacy Nunnelee, MA, Faculty Lecturer and Speech Language Pathology Clinical Supervisor, had been worked for almost three years to get me to UNT. The NSSLHA students provided the logistics for the event including website PR, IT, signs, parking, tickets and tables at the venue and gifts from Stacy and the students. It was incredibly well done.

The screen at the Lyceum was bigger than any I have ever seen (see the photos in this post!). I presented “Aphasia, Regaining your language from a stroke” to a large group of students, stroke survivors, caregivers, staff, various clinicians and speech language pathologists with lots of good questions…a great day at UNT!  Thank you Stacy and the student led NSSLHA crew!
