My presentation was called Career Transitions, Getting from here to there…when “there” just keeps changing!” The audience was fantastic with plenty of questions and over 40 people there. It was my first time speaking with anyone other than people with and around stroke and aphasia. I wanted to speak to the career world and the dynamic process of bridging from one job, one career or one system to another. I am writing another book called, Stroke, The Ultimate Pink Slip. It is all about transitions and when it comes to jobs and careers, losing a job or being fired, it is just as emotional as a stroke can get.
