I attended the Speaking-Out Conference and spoke during the conference about my story. There were several presentations; a panel of representatives from Aphasia Community Group in Florida, a panel of Young Stroke survivors (with great talks!) and a program called Learning “Supported Conversation for Adults with Aphasia” presented by Jodi Morgan and Janet Whiteside. I had a table for the day with my books with many people interesting in my book from FLASHA. I met with John Mott again, who spoke about his story as well. I also met Amy Edmunds, the President and CEO of Young Strokes. She made a wonderful and inspired presentation. It was a wonderful conference!
