ORLANDO, FL (The Aphasia House, University of Central Florida, SLP Class, Monday, 4:30 PM, July 26, 2016). I presented with 39+ students (Second semester, first year SLP masters) plus Dr. Janet Whiteside, Founder and Director of Aphasia House in Orlando. It was a tremendous class with lots of questions.  I used a new presentation called “Am I a Man or a Mouse? Enriched Speech Therapy.”  I have coined a new term called “Enriched Speech Therapy” which bridged the gap between “regular” speech therapy and “intensive” speech therapy.  Enriched speech therapy can provide more “doing”—more engaged activities, evidence and feedback that provide the experience-dependent neural plasticity that support it. Enriched activities provide the additional therapy but without the costs.
