I presented “Aphasia Recovery & Neuroplasticity” to about 25 PWA, family and caregivers, clinicians, and staff. There were lots of questions including plasticity, practice, stimuli, walking, and the therapeutic activities of life participation including keeping a diary, taking pictures and recording one’s voice.
I presented all three books of the Stroke Diary trilogy to the Aphasia Resource Center Group, Jerry Kaplan and Liz Hoover, Ph.D., Director, Aphasia Resource Center. It was my fourth time speaking to the Aphasia Resource Center since I graduated from the group in 2012.
