Lenny Hawley, MSSW, LCSW, CBIST Brain Injury Education and Resource Counselor Research Clinician organized my presentation. Jennifer Allport, MA., CCC, Assistant Director, Speech-Language Pathology and Dr. Kim Frey, Director of Speech Pathology provided lunch for me and attended with over 40 TBI clinicians, RN’s, MD’s, OT, PT and SLPs from across the hospital. It was the first day of Aphasia Month and the audience were thrilled about the topic. They had lots of good questions about aphasia, plasticity and recovery. Lenny Hawley showed me around the hospital and the rehab floor with some of their amazing devices. It was a wonderful day and we all agreed that I should present again next year!
