JACKSONVILLE, FL, (Brooks Rehabilitation Aphasia Center), 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, Wednesday, July 13, 2016. I presented at the Brooks Aphasia Center yesterday. There were about 40 participants including staff, students and the majority, stroke survivors. Some of the stroke survivors had their stroke recently and others over 25 years ago. The Center is new and looks wonderful. I used a new presentation called “Am I a Man or a Mouse? Enriched Speech Therapy.” I talked about motivation, practice, plasticity and an enriched environment. The audience seems to like it!
