We had another a great hour with a different set of 10 people in the Conversation Class with questions including: Does more talking make your aphasia get better? (answer-YES! More talking, more reading, more writing, all contribute to aphasia recovery.), Do I speak at Stroke Groups about aphasia? What do I do for fun since my stroke? (We have fun with that!), What changed in my life? (I started my company, Stroke Educator, Inc. and we talked about job and career prospects for people with aphasia (same as last week’s question). I committed to writing an article about just that…jobs and careers looking for a career coach for PWA.), Did your writing help with your recovery? (Again, yes…we talked about my 500 page diary as personal therapy…but is nothing more than learning things you are interested in. People with aphasia are interested in learning how to get their language back!)
